For sale is an unusual 19c French drumhead clock with side viewing windows dating to c1880. I have had many clocks similar to this one but never with windows in the side. All original thick bevelled glass in perfect order with all brass mouldings. The 21 day duration movement with bell striking on the half and full hours and outside count wheel.
The movement is a little dirty but works perfectly well. The white enamel dial is in good order other than a faint hairline at twenty five past[see photo]. It also has an open escapement and also bevelled glass.
Lovely large and heavy pendulum. Standing 18 inches high[46cm] x 16 ins wide[41cm] x 6 ins deep[15cm].There are some minor nibbles here and there but no big chips[see all photo's]. A very different clock to the normal ones you see and in good working order and possibly one for a collector. It is to heavy to post so collection only or may be able to deliver depending where you live for fuel cost or meet halfway.
