As noted by William Cumming, a very early depiction of the roads and trading paths leading from Carolina westward. Some of these routes are dated, such as Mr. Numerous forts are located, as are mountains and rivers, mines (including silver mines of Caovila in Mexico), etc. Bahamas and Cuba are seen at bottom right corner, moving westward across to encompass modern-day Texas.

In VG or better condition, overall the image is clean, well preserved and very attractive. Excellent example with fine age patina. Original fold line as issued. 13" W x 9" H. 10 1/2" W x 7 3/4" H.
